Thoughts on the Blogging Challenge

First of all, thanks be to Kamala, because I really liked this challenge, and it was a necessary way for me to get to all of the blogs. Honestly, I was interacting with the same 5-7 people because I already had working relationships with them or just liked their style in general. Since I haven't participated in class for three weeks, I really pushed myself and left a comment on every blog except for one because it was glitching out of me. Here are a few key takeaways I had after completing this challenge:

1). Everyone has their own unique idea of what constitutes blogging. I enjoyed getting to see how people interpret the various assignments/readings/challenges.

2). The blogs that I enjoyed the most are the ones that show a lot of the person's character and/or relate to the content to a personal experience. I know that probably isn't fair, because everyone has a different comfort level when it comes to sharing.

3). Blogging seems like a challenge for a lot of us. I appreciated seeing people wrestle with a lot of the things that I am struggling with myself- being burnt out, only having like one or two compelling things to blog about, and feeling like these blogs are just kind of out there existing in the void. I know they aren't, but sometimes it feels that way.

All in all, I had a lot of fun with challenge, and I think it should be part of the regular class challenges next summer! Did you do the challenge? What was it like for you?
